Sneaky s’mores

What you’ll need

• An outside space • Torches (optional) – recommended if dark outside

Can you rescue your s’more ingredients without getting caught?

Mark out your playing space and make sure there is nothing you can trip or slip on.

Step by step

You swore you had put your s’mores ingredients somewhere safe but where have they gone? It looks like someone has pinched them.

Pick a Guide to be the thief first and another to be the watcher. They need to stand at one side of your space with a torch each (if you’re using them).

Everyone else needs to go to opposite end of your space to the thief.

You’re going to try and steal back your s’mores in time for your campfire!

Listen as the game rules are read out

Game rules

Thief – have your back to everyone. When you say ‘these are my s‘mores now’ everyone can move. You can say it loud, quiet, fast, slow – however you want. Once you’ve finish saying it, turn around. If you see anyone moving, you can send them back to the start.

Guides – you need to make your way to the thief without them seeing you and tag them, you can hide behind anything in your playing area or be still like a statue. But you can only move when the thief is saying their sentence with their back turned to you. If they catch you moving any other time you’ll get sent back to the start.

Watcher – Stand to the side of the playing space and watch the Guides, if they moved before the thief speaks send them back to the start.

Got it? Go! Whoever tags the thief first becomes the next thief.
