How you can support at home
Interest badges
Interest badges are a key part of our programme, and they’re designed to be done at home or outside of unit meetings. From blogging to dancing, girls can pick badges that interest them and work through challenges to achieve them. Why not talk to your daughter about the interest badges she’d like to do? You can find them all by filtering by ‘interest badges’ in our badge finder. The full challenges are in your child’s badge book.
Keep your info up-to-date
Your personal information is stored securely on our membership database GO. Please login now if you haven’t already and check all the information in there is complete and up-to-date. And if anything changes, please be sure to update it on your record! It’s important for our volunteers to know how to contact you in case of an emergency - if you’re not sure how to create a login or use GO, check out how to use GO for parents. You can also set up your communication preferences on GO, if you'd like to join our monthly parent newsletter.
Flexible volunteering
One of the best ways you can give back to guiding is by volunteering just a bit of your time. We know you’re busy. But any help you can give will make a big difference. There’s no commitment too small. You can volunteer with your daughter, in a different group, or use your skills behind the scenes. You don’t need any guiding experience and men are welcome too! Register your interest today or check out some of the one-off opportunities we have available.
