Girlguiding impact report
Girlguiding’s ambition for 2030 and beyond
By 2030, we’ll reach more girls where they are, building their confidence when they need it the most, so more girls will know they can do anything.
The world facing girls today is full of challenges. Girls tell us they’re facing an unequal society, harmful gender stereotypes, increased sexism and misogyny, appearance pressures and declining wellbeing. Only 1 in 4 girls feels confident about their future.19
Our strategy, ‘Girls can do anything’ will grow our impact and reach by strengthening and diversifying our offer for girls and volunteers. We’ll create unrivalled experience for girls, led by girls. We’ll reach more girls from all backgrounds and work with partners, communities and schools to be more accessible to girls. We’ll attract more volunteers, who are pivotal in achieving positive outcomes for our young members, giving them an experience fit for the future.
We'll continue to work hard both to understand the positive outcomes for our members and how we can broaden and deepen our impact for all girls. To further our understanding of our impact we're working with the University of Essex who are providing expertise and guidance to measure the positive impact of our Girlguiding Inspired programme.20 Girlguiding Inspired provides experiences that are shaped around key elements of Girlguiding. The early evaluation findings from our pilot stages indicate that the offer is having a positive impact and is successful in reaching girls that are normally underrepresented in Girlguiding’s membership. We're excited to be working with them to gather evidence and learning to support our work.
We’ll work with girls, volunteers and partners to plan how we’ll achieve our ambition. There’ll be ways for everyone to contribute and take part in how we shape and deliver this strategy.
